Maintenance Assistant - Belgrave, Cheshire, United Kingdom - TXM Recruit
Description
TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to work in the Knightsbridge, London area working in ultra-high-end mansions for a private property management solution company.
The role will be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8-4 or 9-5, with lots of overtime available.
Must work weekends on a shift rota (roughly 1 in 4 but will vary).This role requires flexibility during their busy season (May to October) with regards to hours and days worked.
Salary:
£33,000
(Overtime after 40 hours is at time and a half)
This is an exciting role for a talented individual who is looking for a new challenge, wants to join a fast paced and high performing team renowned for their approach and delivery of unparalleled service.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake general property maintenance & repairs throughout our properties including carpentry, tiling and general repairs to doors, windows & locking systems.
General repairs of basic plumbing.
Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
Oversee contractors.
Assist other staff members as required.
Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on – call assistance.
Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors, and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.
Seasonal shift & on call rota.Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.
Any other duties as and when required.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.
Knowledge of a building trade i.e., carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering & tiling.
Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
Have recognised C&G, NVQ qualifications.
Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.
A thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
Full clean UK driving licence.
Significant proven experience.
Be able to follow specific instructions.

High level of written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to use their initiative.

Able to follow drawings and plans accurately.
Highly professional and presentable.
Able to work well in a team and unsupervised.
Extremely confidential and discreet.
Can follow instructions in a cooperative and accurate manner.
Careful, accurate, logical, and methodical approach to work.
Strong practical ability with well-developed problem-solving skills.
