3 Waste Management Operatives

37 hours per week, permanent

NS5 £21,968 - £22,369

Pay award pending effective 01/04/23


Our Waste and Recycling Team are seeking permanent and relief staff to assist in the driving and loading of domestic refuse collection vehicles.

Other duties include litter picking, fly-tip collection and litterbin emptying through Newark and Sherwood.

The positions will entail working unsociable hours in all weathers. You should be physically fit, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided. Experience in working in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.


You will possess a full driving licence and the posts is based at the Council's Brunel Drive Depot in Newark.

Applicants for the LGV Driver post should possess a Category C driving Licence with an up to date CPC card.


Working past the usual finish time is sometimes required where there is a need in order to provide a full service to residents.

Relief posts are 0 hours, on an as and when basis.
