We are currently recruiting a Student Services Administrator on behalf of a well-respected educational establishment.

As a Student Services Administrator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to students and contributing to the efficient functioning of the Student Services department.


Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the first point of contact for student and course inquiries, delivering professional and courteous frontofhouse service.
  • Handle full and parttime Further and Higher Education course inquiries, ensuring adherence to Student Services procedures and Service Standards.
  • Dispatch accurate and comprehensive information to students, meeting the established standards.
  • Ensure completion and signing of all necessary student documentation in accordance with College regulations and awarding body requirements.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of the college's course offerings.
  • Collect, process, and record fees and payments as required.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student files and records, both manual and computerized.
  • Provide cover, under supervision, for other members of Student Services as needed.
  • Promote the welfare of young people and vulnerable groups, adhering to safeguarding arrangements at all times.
  • Adhere to the College's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures, as well as Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage student conduct in alignment with College policies.

Requirements:


  • Minimum grade C/grade 4 in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
  • NVQ in Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience within a further/higher education context (desirable).
  • Knowledge of cultural diversity and its impact on learners and institutions.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Proactive approach to work, problemsolving, and issue management.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues.
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
  • Awareness, understanding, and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young vulnerable adults.
  • Familiarity with policies on child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, student behavior/discipline, and equal opportunities.
