About the Role:

We are currently searching for someone with a positive, can-do attitude to play a pivotal role in our shredding operation during a night shift within our ultra-modern fully compliant recycling facility based in Birmingham.

You will play a key part in ensuring that the site, machines, and shredding line continues to operate smoothly. You will oversee the night team to ensure that all incoming waste streams are recorded and segregated correctly.

You will also oversee that all required vans are emptied, fuelled with both Diesel and AdBlue, before being parked up and ready each morning for the driver's arrival.

During the night it will be essential that you can operate 360 grab material handlers to feed and effectively run our multi-million-pound shredding line.

Responsibilities will include:

Supervise the night team as they unload our own vehicles and ensure that only compliant waste streams enter the site and that all vans are empty prior to the morning shift commencing.
Operate onsite mobile plant including 360 grab material handlers.
Start, run, and shut down the shredding line correctly and safely.
Operate and troubleshoot our onsite baler and wrapper.
Carry out fixed plant and mobile plant maintenance using the best onsite industry tools provided.
Troubleshoot our multimillionpound shredding line.
Use our inhouse built weighbridge app to accurately document all waste entering and exiting the site.
Clean the shredding line and motors at the end of every shift, ready for the day shift start.
Participating in fire watch and always remaining vigilant to raise the alarm and deal with any small outbreaks.

About you:

Previous 360 grab machine operator and or supervisor experience essential

Hours & Pay
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
