ABOUT THE ROLE


As a Process & Compliance Functional Manager you will collaborate with the Head of Vehicle Motion Operations and the wider vehicle motion department to deliver our product ambitions and to shape our Beyond100 strategy.


This position is responsible for leading & managing a team that will develop and improve all departmental processes and ensure compliance, in particular to Golden rules and FUSI.

Additionally to communicate, prepare, track, provide robust preventative measures and deliver successful internal & external audits.


This position also has the responsibility to manage colleagues that deliver all certification roadmaps via the certification working group and to create, with support, the strategic direction driven by certification requirements, Group modules availability and resources.

Finally, this position has the responsibility to implement, manage & run the Outsource strategy. This is a framework that pre-authorises approved out-source suppliers to speed up the availability of additional support.


MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaising with departments within R&D and VWAG group to ensure process alignment and best practice.
  • Providing & maintaining a team of trained Calibration Project Engineers (CPEs) that track & ensure adherence to Golden Rules.
  • Providing & maintaining resources with technical leadership to ensure FUSI tracking & compliance for the whole functional area.
  • Provision & maintenance of resources with technical leadership to drive process improvements, awareness and to offer process advice & training when necessary. This includes supporting Bentley wide process improvements.
  • Providing & maintaining a team to manage the VEX process within functional area and coordinate with the ET VKO team.
  • To manage outsource requirements and liaise with these suppliers ensuring purchase are fully involved on a weekly and yearly strategic level.
  • Provision of competent technical leadership strategic direction based on numerous inputs from certification requirements, Group module strategies and Bentley requirements and strategies.
  • Owner of key processes across the R&D department.
  • To manage a team between 710 internal colleagues and external resources.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills up to director level.
  • Some knowledge of vehicle motion calibration processes, e.g. Engine, transmission and chassis systems.
  • Recognised by the a Professional Institute as a professional member.
  • Knowledge of Product Delivery/planning processes.
  • Experience with Quality Tools (for example APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, DFMEA)
  • VDA 6.3 Auditor would be a benefit.
