Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Senior Transport Planning Officer role for our client in North Somerset area.

The successful post holder will be able to demonstrate working closely with other service areas within the Council, and with partners, to achieve an integrated approach to transport policy and sustainable travel in North Somerset.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Manage the development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of the council's computer based transportation models
Prepare and present information for public consultation and evidence for Public Inquiries
To formulate, participate and organise consultation activities with the public and other organisations
Seek out opportunities for new resources to fund projects
Provide professional advice and ensure and integrated approach to transport work areas, with other service areas of the council
To develop the concessionary fares function of the section so as to ensure that:
1) Negotiations with bus operators are conducted in a professional manner
2) Relevant transportation data is collected, maintained and analysed
3) Statistical information and decision reports are presented in a clear and

concise manner
efficient operation of the function
