Founded in 1999 by Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, The Whisky Exchange Group is a fast-growing and world-renowned international spirits company.

It was one of the first multi-channel, multi-market global drinks distributors and is a leader in its field.

Now made up of four group companies, it is an independently managed business and a recent addition to the Pernod Ricard Group since November 2021.

The role is hybrid with at least two days per week in our head office in Park Royal.


Your unique contribution

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Leadership of a team of five marketing professionals in an inclusive way. This includes identifying and building team development plans in alignment with business goals, and setting individual responsibilities and objectives to inspire and drive results and engagement
  • Building and owning the digital marketing strategy, namely the means by which The Whisky Exchange pursues recruitment and retention of customers to achieve commercial goals of the business. This will include the planning, building and owning spend by channel by country by day
  • Deployment & measurement:
  • Deploy plans through own team and agencies, on a timely and accurate basis
  • Lead crossfunctional communications and meetings to keep deliveries on time and to brief
  • Manage existing and future agencies as appropriate to deliver objectives
  • Monitor performance against plan and last year, on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Revise and update assumptions along with forecasts.
  • Recommend changes to channel spend as business needs and market behaviour change
  • Adhoc initiatives including contributing to, participating in, or leading new projects as they emerge

Your blend of talent

  • Has an expert understanding of channels; their role, their strengths and weaknesses and how to bring them together to deliver more than the sum of parts
  • Is an expert practitioner of:
  • Tools e.g. Google Analytics, Tableau
  • Microsoft programmes e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Is an expert synthesizer of facts to provide clear, succinct summaries
  • Is an expert in project management, utilizing key tools such as Confluence and Jira
  • Has a thorough understanding of technology development and deployment; steps, timeframes, opportunities and pitfalls
  • Has a high level of knowledge and experience of ecommerce functions along with their dependencies, e.g. operations, customer service, content
