Your new team

This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business.

At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.

Your unique contribution

You will have the following main areas of responsibility:

Bring The Glenlivet towards Speyside Single Malts leadership by moving from Visitor Centre / Traditional Distillery Tours to a Brand Home enhancing uniqueness of the Whisky Experience while highlighting Scotland's incredible destination.


You will be responsible for the retail management at The Glenlivet Brand Home to ensure the delivery of outstanding customer experience as well as retail net revenue and profit objectives.

Additionally, the Retail Leader will be expected to model positive behaviours such as proactive consumer engagement, immersive storytelling, task delegation and leadership.


Key Responsibilities:


Grow the retail business, place great value on retail experience to deliver against the P&L targets (revenue and profit) that quantify success.


Exceed retail business objectives, closely monitor sales and margin for Whisky and POS, constantly optimise product range and customer offer.

Lead a team of 2 permanent people and up to 10 seasonal people. Ensure staff is appropriately rewarded & trained in the main areas (product knowledge, retail skills, selling techniques, brand advocacy).

Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly KPI monitoring and systematic report to management on consistent / reliable / comprehensive dashboards.


Continuous development and implementation of on line strategies, e-commerce platform, website, digital customer relationship management, social media to ensure customer experience is at the level of The Glenlivet brand ambition before, during and after visit.


Define and implement price positioning, new merchandising plans, new retail product offers, new in store whisky experience to systematically enhance the experience and increase average spend per head in line with KPI's.

Oversee effective stock management and effective cash handling.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

  • Previous Senior Level Experience as a Shop Manager, preferably in International Luxury or Hospitality Brands.
  • Strong Leadership Skills with significant experience in Management
  • Substantial Merchandising knowledge with proven success of Merchandising plan recommendation and implementation.
  • Background in Marketing preferable, understanding of retail management to meet operational KPI's, revenue and profit targets.
  • Solid Experience in managing inventory, product assortment, orders and stock cover.
Knowledge and passion for whisky category is an advantage.
