Infrastructure Support Specialist

Management Services Department


Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA or Authority) is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced individual to work as an Infrastructure Support Specialist within the Management Services Department.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Infrastructure Support Specialist will be responsible for all enterprise/infrastructure management and security measures.

In addition, the post-holder will oversee various analytical and technical assignments relating to problem diagnosis and solutions and advise on any potential risks and activities across the enterprises' technology infrastructure.


This is a key role for the Authority and the post-holder will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Developing security policies and procedures to support the corporate information risk management needs in place at any given time, including the oversight and management of all Business Continuity and Corporate Disaster Recovery requirements
  • Recommending control measures to improve information security, including evaluating and selecting products and services; and evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with existing information security control measures
  • Performing problem resolution and providing oncall support for related computer/network systems through enhanced troubleshooting & maintenance assistance to ensure the ongoing availability of the company's computing solutions
  • Investigating alleged information security breaches and, as necessary, taking the necessary precautionary steps to avoid further breaches, including coordinating and monitoring information security activities throughout the organisation, i.e., preparing periodic status and progress reports
  • Maintaining a broad and current knowledge of stateoftheart technologies (equipment and/or systems); emphasising those technologies used for regulatory reporting and financial services supervision

This position requires a proven technical and business background.

Therefore, the post-holder must have:


  • A minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience, which includes a sound and practical knowledge of best infrastructure and information risk management practices within the financial services industry
  • A willingness to work outside normal business hours if required
