Adecco are proud to be working with an Engineering company who are looking for a CNC Setter / Operator to join their team, please see below:


Job Title:
CNC Setter / Operator


Location:
Ashford, Kent


Salary:
up to £35,000


Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:30 - 12pm (38.5 hours a week)


Benefits:


  • 34 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)

  • Christmas shutdown (must use annual leave)
  • Overtime paid at time and half

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Active participation in daily production activities, including the creation and scheduling of tasks for subordinate staff members when required.
  • Active participation with inhouse manufacturing tasks including CNC machining setting and ideally programming.
  • Active participation in the general day to day maintenance requirements for the CNC and any other applicable production machinery.
  • Keeping working areas tidy and clean.
  • Active participation in the general day to day product assembly activities, as and when required.
  • Assisting with mechanical design projects with respect to machining and assembly operations.
  • Providing support for general workshop administration duties and cover for periods of staff holidays and unexpected absence.
  • Any other duties that are appropriate and applicable to the role

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Experienced in using various CNC control devices related to both turning & milling machines
  • Experienced in a similar mechanical engineering role
  • Experienced using Microsoft Office, inclusive of Excel, word, Teams, etc.
  • Understanding machining processes for both metal and plastic components
  • Experience of manufacturing environments and associated administration
  • Has good understanding of the working and operation of general mechanical machinery

Desirable Experience:


  • Mechanical Engineering experience
  • Ideally you with have programming knowledge but not essential
  • Experience of working on / with diesel engines
  • Holds a current forklift operator licence
