Specialist Pharmacist - Beckenham, United Kingdom - King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Description
Job overview
We are looking for a Speciality Doctor with full MRCP or MRCGP and previous experience in dermatology to join our expanding department in the pleasant leafy London suburb of Beckenham. The post offers opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in general dermatology and skin surgery and is ideally suited to someone seeking to work towards GPwER accreditation.
The successful applicant will join a team of six consultants, another Specialty Doctor and Clinical Fellow, supported by a team of dermatology nurses, in providing a comprehensive dermatology service. We are a friendly, innovative and dynamic department. We want to offer all team members the opportunity to develop new skills, so that they can all contribute in a meaningful way to patient care and can find satisfaction and fulfilment in their work.
We seek a personable team player, who will seek to develop our department according to their own experience and interests. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own cohort of patients but will work alongside consultant colleagues, providing mutual support during clinical sessions.
We work in a pleasant modern building which has just been refurbished, and we are investing in two brand new NB-UVB phototherapy cabins. An exciting new development on the horizon is a 2 week wait teledermatology service, for which we will have appointed two dedicated medical photographers.
Come and join our team
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will undertake general dermatology clinics and skin surgery lists. They will be responsible for their own cohort of patients but will be supported by consultant colleagues working alongside them. Discussion of difficult clinical cases takes place every month, giving further opportunities for collaborative working.
