Lusona Consultancy has an excellent opportunity to join our client as a Project Accountant on 6Months Fixed Term Contract basis.

Collaborating with the project managers, you will support the financial forecasting and budgeting of ongoing projects.

Reportingto the Financial Controller your main responsibilities will include:


  • Producing monthly consolidated project accounts and corresponding analysis to financial and nonfinancial stakeholders
  • Liaising with the project managers regarding financial queries for accruals and budgeting
  • Assisting Project Managers to understand financial processes and procedures
  • Monitoring project costs and to ensure they are captured accurately to be understood within monthly reporting
  • Providing project forecasting
  • Supporting the year end and consolidated project accounts
  • Completing internal audit activities relating to ongoing projects
  • Continuously identifying areas for improvement across financial processes, in particular for capitalisation
  • Raising awareness of the risk and control environment across the business
Applicants will be qualified (CA/ACA/CIMA), part qualified or qualified by experience accountants.

It is important to have strong excel skills, with the ability to forecast, consolidate budgets and process the financial ledgers.

Previous project accountingexperience is advantageous but not essential.

Most importantly, applicants should have excellent communication skills, with an enquiring mindset to collaborate with financial and non-financial stakeholders across the business.

Salary up to £45K (DOE) + benefits.

Our client offers remote working arrangements, where you will only be required to be in the office 1-2 days per month.
