About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Engineer to join the Property team at Coventry Building Society.

You'll be joining a well-established team working closely with our in-house FM, Helpdesk and Building Surveying teams and external suppliers and will act as primary contact within the Society for all technical M&E related issues.

You'll be working directly with the Property Operations Manager on various capital projects and repair/ maintenance activities including life cycle replacement and be a key driver in our ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2040.

By being directly involved in such activities you will be assisting with future planning and budgeting, looking at new technologies and getting the best from our broad range of suppliers.

You'll also work closely with our IT colleagues to ensure the ongoing resilience of our buildings and associated IT infrastructure through an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance and Life Cycle Replacement programme.

The role will also involve using various Society systems and technologies including our Trend Building Management system to provide information to your property colleagues and internal stakeholders to update them on the progress of and KPI's surrounding individualprojects.

About You

We're looking for an experienced, confident team player who is eager to build on their experience to date within a forward-looking organisation and is happy to work on their own or as part of a small team.

We want to hear from you if you're looking to work 'client side' and relish a new challenge at a time of significant change as the Society follow their roadmap to achieve Net Zero by 2040.

You'll have the relevant degree qualification or similar related to mechanical and electrical services, strong experience in hard services contract management and a good understanding of customer focused organizations where maintenance and resilience of buildinghard services is of critical importance and ideally be a member of CIBSE.

Experience of Trend Building Management Systems is also an advantage, and we'd like you to have aclean driving license and car to travel around the estate and we would expect you to be willing to undertake some out of hours working to ensure key activitiesdo not disrupt business operations.
