As the Adolescent Safeguarding Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality interventions, effective case management oversight, and overall performance in the best interest of adolescents and their families. Reporting to the Head of Service, you will be responsible for managing a team of Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Social Work Assistants, and multidisciplinary workers such as Youth Workers, Counselling Psychologists, or Family Therapists. Your role will involve overseeing adolescents across the social care spectrum, from initial referral and assessment through to planning, including Risk Outside the Home (child protection threshold) plans, care proceedings, and support for children in or leaving care.

    • Work collaboratively with key partners and represent AfC at operational and strategic multi-agency meetings to advocate for the needs of adolescents and their families.
    • Keep children at home where it is safe to do so and in line with the child's best interests, while also ensuring appropriate support and interventions are in place.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Social Worker with significant experience in safeguarding and working with adolescents.
    • Proven experience in operational management and leadership, with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
    • Strong understanding of child protection processes, care proceedings, and working within the Signs of Safety framework.
    • Experience in working with adolescents presenting trauma-led behaviours and supporting workers in the field of contextual safeguarding.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and represent AfC at various meetings and forums.

    Benefits of working With Randstad:
