    Description
    Electrical Maintenance Technician – Biomass

    up to £49,000 + benefits

    Invergordon, Scotland


    MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance department of a biomass power station in Invergordon, Scotland.

    The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance across the site to ensure minimum downtime and maximum plant availability.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    As the Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:


    Fault finding, repair work and planned & reactive maintenance on a wide range ofl plant equipment including variable speed drives, motors, PLCs, pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors etc.

    High voltage experience
    Providing technical support to the operations team when required
    Working alongside other Technicians and Engineers with regards to plant projects and upgrades
    Managing contractors when required
    This role includes working days and nights on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern working on a 4-week shift system.

    To be considered for this role you should have:

    A relevant engineering apprenticeship along with a qualification at C&G/ONC/NVQ level 3 ideally in electrical engineering or similar.
    18th edition electrical qualification is advantageous

    At least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience working in a hands-on maintenance or servicing roles across a heavy process industry e.g.

    power station, manufacturing site, chemical plant, paper mill, pharmaceutical etc
