Role - Fund Analyst


Location - Newcastle upon Tyne


Salary:

- £20,592 per annum (plus after successfully completing a 3 month probation period you would qualify for a bonus scheme which typically adds a further £500 per month, therefore the overall package would be £26592 p.a.)

Netwirking are pleased to once again be working together with an established Fintech company, Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA, UK Fast 50 and two time European Business of the Year based in Newcastle upon Tyne who are now looking for a Fund Analyst tojoin the business.


Job Responsibilities will include;

  • Carry out operations in line with Governance, Risk and Operations policies and procedures
  • Conduct initial and ongoing investment manager due diligence reviews in conjunction with the Head of Operations
  • Monitor thirdparty relationships
  • Perform (or review) investment compliance and risk limit monitoring
  • Maintain eligible asset assessments
  • Conduct operational oversight of thirdparty service providers
  • Prepare operational and risk management information
  • Maintain/enhance operational risk registers
  • Ensure that tasks are completed on time and procedures are adhered to
  • Review procedures and tasks when required
  • Develop a good level of understanding about the range of funds whilst gaining/improving associated industry knowledge
  • Demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures, ensuring that the company is fully compliant and reflects industry best practice
  • Proactively seek to improve all aspects of the firm
  • Fulfil the requirements of the companies training plan and/or maintain current level of professional competence as appropriate
  • Support the Managing Partner, Head of Operations and other Operations team members with other functions, activities and projects as required

Skills/experience - essential

  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • A reasonable level of IT proficiency is required, in particular with regards to Word, Excel and Powerpoint, as well as proficiency in both Mathematics and English
  • Numerate. Good verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
  • Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Ability to work with people at all levels
  • A genuine interest in investments/finance and be prepared to undertake professional qualifications if not currently held
  • Proactive, can do, hardworking attitude
  • The ability to solve problems using own initiative
  • An ability to work both individually and as part of a team
  • An ability to work accurately and to deadlines
