CAD Technician

Monday - Friday

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year (Negotiable DOE)
Location: Oldbury
Job Type: Permanent

You will be supporting the Technical Manager with a good understanding of CAD and the ability to interpret drawings. The ideal candidate will display determination and drive to excel, as we are seeking someone eager to enhance their skills and grow.

Duties (training provided):

Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes
Experience with tooling and nesting for a turret punch
Re-engineer designs to meet specifications within budget constraints
Create detailed manufacturing, customer, and assembly drawings
Produce designs using Radan software
Develop prototypes when required
Collaborate with production and sales departments
Work closely with the Technical Manager and production support
Update and organize departmental documents and files

The ideal candidate will have:

Proficiency in Radan and AutoCAD
Ability to interpret technical drawings
Full UK driving license
Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Skills to create comprehensive reports, procedures, and guidance documents
Team collaboration experience to achieve common goals
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
Precision and accuracy in work
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
