As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll operate from a well-established food manufacturing company.

You will optimise machinery output and product quality, and minimise plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response while maintaining a safe and healthy environment and promoting good engineering practices.

Shift Pattern:
Week 1 7am-5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 7am-12:00 55 hrs.
Week 2 11pm-7am Sunday to Thursday- (call out cover 5pm-11pm)

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:

Assist in building an up-to-date PPM system and ensuring planned maintenance is carried out professionally and promptly
Ensure engineering maintenance is carried out in line with the current schedule and efficient corrective action is taken
Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Shift Supervisor/Mill Manager and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption
Report and track lost time, cause of breakdowns, record parts used/required.

A qualification in a relevant engineering trade with engineering experience and an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering
A full understanding of mechanical processes and electrical or welding/fabrication experience
A self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
