- To run and supervise any kitchen section to the required standards set by the Head Chef / Sous Chef
- Supervision of the Commis Chefs to ensure all preparation of the designated section is complete and ready for each service
- Be responsible for the quality and control of stock and prepared foods
- Execute dishes to the expected high standard quickly, efficiently and consistently
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of designated section
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUTo succeed in the role of Chef de Partie you will need the following qualities and skills.
- The ability to manage various sections of the kitchen, whilst ensuring health & safety standards are met
- To be flexible in your approach, and able to assist the Sous Chef and any other members of the kitchen brigade when required
- A team player who thrives in the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen department
- Someone who is passionate about food and willing to learn
- Previous experience in a similar role, at either Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie level.
- An understanding of the pastry section is highly desirable
- An understanding of quality control, kitchen standards and adherance to HACCP, a food hygiene qualification is highly desirable but full training will be given.
