An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Speech and Language Therapy Support Practitioner
within Bedfordshire Community Health Services Speech and Language Therapy Service. The post will
involve working with adults with acquired speech and language and swallowing difficulties caused by
a variety of medical conditions.

and outpatients and will also be based at Headway House in Bedford for two sessions a week (1
session is 3.75 hours). Headway provides services to people following brain injury.
The post will require excellent communication skills. Training will be given to carry out the role and
you will be under the supervision of the speech and language therapists.

The adult speech and language therapy service comprises of a small, friendly and supportive team
which includes both the community and acute staff. There are regular team meetings, supervision
and opportunities for further training and CPD.
You will require English GSCE grade 4/C or equivalent qualification in English.

Hours:
Full time-37.5 hours. However part time will be considered.
