Job description:


Our client, based in the North West
, is currently recruiting for an In-House Advocate for the Childcare team on a temporary contract basis for
three months initially, with scope to extend.

The position will require
in-person Court attendance, and the hourly rate is negotiable based on experience.


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Carrying a caseload of court matters, and covering all in-person court hearings for the Childcare team
  • Liaising with the Childcare team and Solicitors in regards to case details and progress
  • Handling varied advocacy including complex final hearings lasting multiple days, and covering EPO's
  • Drafting and preparing all relevant court bundles for hearings

Experience required:


  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (with Rights of Audience)
  • Experience of advocating on behalf of a Local Authority

Working hours:


  • 37 hours per week
