    Job summary

    Since 2009NHS North East Lincolnshire Talking Therapies service has provided low and highintensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR, couples psychotherapy,Counselling for Depression and Interpersonal Therapy. The clinical teamconsists of High Intensity Therapists, Counsellors, Psychological WellbeingPractitioners and Employment Advisors.

    We arelooking for an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated individual qualified as aPsychological Wellbeing Practitioner or newly qualified. PsychologicalWellbeing Practitioners are trained to deliver low intensity CognitiveBehavioural Therapy to people with mild to moderate mental health problems. Thepost initially involves delivering these low intensity CBT interventions in arange of settings - including groups, individual and via remote. The teamconsists of experienced staff who have been specifically trained to providesupervision.

    We arelooking for 2 qualified PWPs to join our team on a 12 month remote contract.

    Main duties of the job

    Interviews will be conducted by NHS TalkingTherapies Team Manager, Service Manager and a service user representative. Ashort role play will be required.

    Candidatemust be registered with BABCP or BACP.

    The closingdate for this post is 18th May 2024. Interviews will take place remotely.

    NHS TalkingTherapies provides a hybrid of both remote therapy and treatment in person,with clinicians working a proportion of their time from the office, communityareas such as GP's and an option to work maximum of two days from home.

    PLEASENOTE THIS IS A REMOTE POST. We do however have a team day once a month andthere will be an expectation that you will attend this day to remain up todate.

    Job responsibilities

    Main Dutiesand Responsibilities

    1.CLINICAL

    referrals via agreed protocols within the service.

    and supports people with a common mental health problem in the self managementof their recovery.

    patient-centred interviews which identifies areas where the person wishes tosee change and or recovery and makes an accurate assessment of risk to self andothers.

    decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the departmentsreferral protocols, refers unsuitable clients on to the relevant service orback to the referral agent as necessary or steps-up the persons treatment tohigh intensity psychological therapy.

    arange of information and support for evidence based high-volume low-intensitypsychological treatments. This may include guided self-help computerised CBT,information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be face to face,telephone, groups or via other media.

    and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary.

    toan agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contactsoffered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimisewaiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.

    multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment,where appropriate.

    all requirements relating to data collection within the service.

    coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols anduse these records and clinical outcome data in clinical decision making.

    closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up andstep-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.

    and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapyprocess and working closely with the IAPT Employment Advisor service.

    2.TRAININGAND SUPERVISION

    and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post includingpractical, academic and practice based assessments.

    supervision from educational providers in relation to course work to meet therequired standards.

    and present clinical information for all patients on their caseload to clinicalcase management supervisors within the service on an agreed and scheduledbasis, in order to ensure safe practice and the clinical governance obligationsof the worker, supervisor and service are delivered.

    to and implement supervision suggestions by supervisors in clinical practice.

    inand respond to personal development supervision to improve competences andclinical practice.

    3.PROFESSIONAL

    the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and anyregulating bodies, and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set bythe department of health ( NHS long term plan, National Service Framework,National Institute for Clinical Excellence).

    awareof, and keep up to date with advances in the spheres of treatment for commonmental health problems.

    clear objectives are identified, discussed and reviewed with senior therapistson a regular basis as part of continuing professional development.

    4.GENERAL

    Experience

    Essential

  • Evidence of working with people who have suffered with a mental health problem
  • Demonstrates high standards in written communication
  • Able to write clear reports and letters.
  • Desirable

  • Experience of working in Primary Care Services
  • Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
  • Ability to manage own caseload and time
  • Extensive experience of working on SystmOne
  • Qualifications

    Essential

  • Psychology or other health related undergraduate degree.
  • Post Graduate Psychological Wellbeing Practice
  • Desirable

  • Mental health experience
  • Previously experience in IAPT/Talking Therapies
  • Other requirements

  • Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
  • Registered with BABCP or BACP
  • High level of enthusiasm and motivation.
  • Advanced communication skills
