Lead Buyer - Packaged Gas & Products Ops / Projects

What you will enjoy doing

  • In this role, you will maximize supplier savings (repeatable and cash flow)
  • You will manage all aspects of key supplier relationships
  • You will support the business ensuring goods and services delivered at the right quality, price and delivery, safely
  • In addition, you will understand all aspects of the Supplier Market outlook and price development, identifying new products and new suppliers as necessary
  • You will also facilitate access to supplier innovation and product development

What makes you great

  • You will be educated to degree level preferred or A level with significant relevant experience
  • In addition, you have CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualifications or are working towards this, not essential but is an advantage
  • Previous experience in category management
  • You have high levels of selfmotivation, autonomy, energy, tenacity and a strong drive for results
  • You have an understanding of the business, ideally with a knowledge the nature of the products/services within the portfolio
  • Furthermore, you have experience in influencing change successfully where it impacts in others area of control
  • You have knowledge of what make a good contract and ideally contract drafting
