WHAT TO EXPECTWe are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Paint Programmes Engineer, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Paint Manufacturing and Engineering realm.
You will be at the forefront of the Launch phase, which involves planning the execution of the programme requirements for prototype builds and eventual increase in volume to intended line rates.
Your mission? To focus on model integration and involves working within a small team.You will work as part of this team with a range of stakeholders to ensure the successful development and introduction of new models and technologies.
The team are tasked with delivering manufacturing processes with ever-improving efficiency, effective costs and reduced environmental impact.The Manufacturing Engineering Paint Team are responsible for all new vehicle introductions, model year changes, new colours and integration of new technologies to deliver exterior vehicle finish.
The role requires involvement from early product development through to a handover of a volume manufacturing-ready process.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesApplication of Lean Manufacturing and Design conceptsAssess advanced design themes / models to ensure compliance and compatibility with Paint Shop processesProduce and Review Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) documents to ensure risks are mitigatedManage technical issues and escalate where appropriateSupport and direct virtual build events, raising and managing issues where appropriateDevelop processes as a basis for plant work instructionsWHAT YOU'LL NEEDA strong understanding of Manufacturing / Engineering Processes, Tools & TechniquesGood Automotive Paint Shop ExperienceExperience of Automotive Model Design & DevelopmentKnowledge or experience of wax, paint and sealer applications and programmingEvidence of an innovative approach to technical Problem Solving and Process DevelopmentKnowledge of Dassault software (CATIA, DELMIA, 3DX Platform)SO WHY US?Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme.
