- Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
- Have a good understanding of logistics / shipping on a global scale.
- Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
- Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with no delay
- Consult with the factory to ensure loads are prepared for shipment meeting the customers agreed requirements
- Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, to keep costs down where possible
- Streamlines shipping and transportation processes
- Function as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and factories in relation to shipping and logistics' queries
- Liaise with forwarder/agent at origin to confirm POs and vessel schedules.
- Ensuring entries are raised and sent to forwarder/agent along with bills of landing in adequate timing.
- Booking containers with forwarder/agent into the warehouse ensuring stock is in our warehouse before it is to be delivered into the customer.
- Receipting POs on the system once stock has shipped and documentation received from the factory.
- Arranging the haulage for deliveries into the customers DC.
- Ensuring the warehouse has UpToDate shipping and delivery logs.
- Raising despatch notes for when stock is due to leave the warehouse.
- Raising invoices after the stock has left our warehouse and sending onto the customer accounts dept/uploading to customer portals.
- Processing factory invoices on the Group system

Our client a highly successful and well established fashion supplier to the multiple high street retailers, are looking to recruit an experienced Shipping & Logistics Co-ordinator to join their team in their Essex head office.
This position works in partnership with the Shipping Manager, Group Production Manager, supporting Department Managers and our teams across our offices.
Core to the role is providing a high level of support, impeccable attention to detail and administrative skills to support, achieve and maintain the highest level of service and quality for our customers ensuring the Group standards are always met.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years working within the same role and looking to work for a great company,Reporting to the Shipping Manager
