- Essential specialist experience within a rehabilitation setting
- Ideally, experience in palliative care
- Ability to travel across Walsall Borough during the working day

- Provide rapid assessment and intervention to prevent admission, facilitate discharge, and support families
- Be a core member of the Palliative and End of Life Care Service Multidisciplinary Team
- Support the Therapies Team Lead in service development
- Participate in supervision, teaching, and appraisal
- Act as an autonomous practitioner with senior practitioner skills
- Accept clinical responsibility for a caseload of palliative care patients
- Be accountable for all aspects of your own work
- Interpret and analyze clinical facts to form accurate diagnosis and prognosis

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust for a full-time secondment position to cover maternity leave as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist within the Specialist Palliative Care Therapies Teams, working across Acute and Community settings.
The Specialist Palliative Care Therapies Teams are based at Walsall Manor Hospital and Walsall Palliative Care Centre, offering support to adults with a palliative diagnosis. The focus is on rehabilitation, discharge planning, and providing therapy intervention at various facilities.
We are looking for an individual with enthusiasm, compassion, and the ability to problem-solve rapidly in a fast-paced environment to ensure safe discharge and patient-centric goals achievement.
