    Description

    The ideal candidate must already have a enhanced DBS certificate on application. (immediate start available)

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the safety, and security of the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, offices and outdoor areas.
    • Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, minor repairs and basic plumbing.
    • Monitor heating, ventilation, and electrical systems to ensure their proper functioning.
    • Assist in setting up and arranging furniture and equipment for various school events and activities.
    • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment and reorder items as necessary.
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve any issues efficiently.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and address them accordingly.
    • Collaborate with staff, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient operations.
    • Provide assistance during emergency situations, following established protocols.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a caretaker or in a similar role.
    • Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques and maintenance procedures.
    • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
    • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
    • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
    • Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
