This role is full time and fixed-term for 12 months.

Role Purpose

To be a part of the Central London Team, which sits as part of the wider London regional property management team, in a client-focussed role ensuring accurate and timely delivery of service and achievement of Key Performance Indicators within the department.

Acting for our key clients, this is an exciting and demanding role for a commercially minded and highly professional, organised individual.

CBRE are looking for an exceptional Senior Surveyor to join our team dealing with the management of assets owned by our high profile investment management clients.

You would be joining an established team managing commercial properties across a range of asset classes. The role will involve a high degree of autonomy and regular meetings with the clients.

Key Responsibilities

Key role in the client focussed surveying teamnAnalytical budgeting and reporting directly to the fundnParticipate in departmental strategies/projects and departmental business development activitiesnEnsure the effective transition of client/properties on acquisition and sale of assetsnWorking with our FM team and building managers taking the necessary action to ensure all sites are fully compliant with legislative and procedural requirementsnUndertake regular property inspections and prepare report for distribution to the Client, ensuring client reports are prepared to the correct specifications and issued to in accordance with agreed timescalesnApprove data published in management reports and attend client meetingsnEnsure tight financial management of rents, service charges and insurance premiums ensuring all management and ad-hoc fee invoices are raised in accordance with contracts and paid promptlynClose liaison with our dedicated Asset Management and Investment teams in line with strategy and project worksnReview and approve service charge budgets incorporating PPM works and/or recommendations as appropriate in a timely manner.nReview service charge cash flow and review budget v expenditure regularly in conjunction with the facilities managers.nReview and approve service charge reconciliations in a timely manner.nSupporting our clients' ESG strategies and working with internal and external specialists on delivery.nEngaging in occupier meetings and initiativesnReview of tenant applications and prepare client recommendationsnLiaison with retained property lawyersnDrive performance and adherence with our KPI's and support delivery of our market leading service.

Person Specification/Requirements

Relevant property/real estate degree with relevant property management experiencenMRICS or AssocRICS preferred but would consider candidates working toward their APC and/or with suitable industry experience.

nAbility to build and maintain effective and long term relationships both internal and external to CBRE, including with our valued clientsnExperience and knowledge of law relating to property management in order to make informed recommendations and strategic decision-makingnStrong Landlord and tenant knowledge contributing to lease advisory decision-makingnForward thinking and proactivenAn experience/understanding of VAT, banking and financial controlnAbility to use standard IT software such as Word, Excel and knowledge of accounting/information databases such as Tramps (training on Tramps can be provided if not already a familiar user)nHave the ability to supervise and develop team membersnExcellent presentation skills
