    Spectrum has an opportunity for a senior leader with a portfolio of Innovation, Performance and Data Insight. This is a new role which will join the senior operational team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a programme of work across the organisation which will have far-reaching impact across the North of England.

    The focus of the role is to support innovations and the transformation of services based on data and decisions we make using our data, creating improved care quality outcomes for some of our most vulnerable in society.

    The post holder will lead, co-ordinate and ensure consistency across performance and data insight reporting. This involves leading the integration of a wide range of measures and processes across 20+ services and sites, providing leaders with visibility and understanding of delivery against milestones and performance outcomes. The role will ensure the provision of the highest quality data and will drive service transformation and assurance.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to influence, add value, and deliver on a variety of agendas. They must be confident to hold and analyse a significant amount of complex data and have specialist knowledge of analysis methodologies and have the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner for a variety of audiences.

    Main duties of the job

    The Head of Innovation and Data Driven Transformation as a member of the senior leadership team, will be integral to the success of the organisation. The post will influence strategic decision making within the operational areas and across the wider health system through the provision of highly complex data collection and analysis.

    The post holder will often be the main contact for both internal and external partner commissioning and data teams and as such must show leadership, expertise and confidence. They must establish effective communication channels with partners to ensure timely reporting and good practice- liaising with them to clarify activity and performance.

    The post will act as the lead data specialist for monthly reporting up to Board level - designing performance and activity dashboards. They will also input into wide ranging projects including developing data for complex business cases, supporting colleagues in developing modelling scenarios, analysing complex business opportunities, and identifying and reporting against associated programme quality plans, financial efficiencies and recovery plans.

    Reporting to the Deputy Director of Operations and Performance, the post holder will work in partnership with other teams within the organisation.

    Person specification Education and Training

    • Clinical qualification such as RGN / RMN / RNLD
    • Educated to Master's level or equivalent level of experience.
    • Experience in performance management roles.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Demonstrate a successful track record at senior management level and have acquired a high level of specialist clinical knowledge and experience.
    • Experience of providing clinical transformation and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of national policy direction.
    • In depth knowledge and experience of managing performance in relevant clinical practice
    • Ability to analyse complex high level clinical and professional information and provide recommendations on appropriate courses of action.
    • Experience of leading and managing clinical and operational transformation change.
    • Knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills along with experience of analysing large and complex datasets, along with good communication skills.
    • Experience of successful strategic management of performance and a proven track record of leading transformation projects.
    • Experience of performance management within a comparable organisation.
    • A demonstrable track record of leading transformational change and deliver outcomes that require collaborative approaches both within the organisation and with external partners.
    • Understanding of NHS Performance regimes and secondary use datasets.
    • Knowledge and experience of using SystmOne
    • Previous experience within Offender Health

    Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to influence senior leaders within the organisation to bring about efficiencies and changes to working practices.
    • Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills, capable of constructing and delivering clear information/instructions.
    • Ability to exercise judgement when dealing with senior managers, and partner agencies.
    • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to relate effectively to, and command the respect trust and confidence of employees, and other stakeholders.
    • Excellent organisational skills including experience of undertaking complex administrative tasks.
    • Strong influencing skills supporting engagement with performance where there are no direct lines of accountability.
