Up to £150 per day depending on qualifications and experience.
Position Purpose:
B-Skill are looking to recruit dedicated Nail technology tutors who are looking for work in Further Education.
- Experience teaching VTCT Level 2/3 Nail qualifications
- Hold relevant Level 3 Nail Qualification
- Hold Teaching Qualification /Assessors award
- Available immediately
You will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire B-Skill learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully achieve their qualifications in an environment that supports their career aspirations and positive progression.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Deliver engaging delivery sessions with the objective to ensure learners achieve their in line with planned end date.
- To work with the Quality Assurance team to create a programme of learning with appropriate teaching and learning strategies, resources and assessments, to ensure the quality of the learning experience is maintained throughout the programme.
- Undertake learner induction and identify appropriate learning systems adapting suitable teaching methods to suit learners needs.
- Produce and review an effective ILP in conjunction with each learner and their individual support needs.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans as well as contributing to the ongoing development of new training materials and resources.
- Complete daily marking in order to provide detailed and focused feedback to the learner to support progression towards their individual goals.
- Deliver appropriate IAG to support the learner with their overall end goal
- Maintain records of learners progress, achievement and communicate these to the Head of Operations.
- Maintain attendance plans and registers.
- To support and adhere to internal quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Work towards agreed Awarding Bodies requirements for delivery and assessment
- To support monthly sampling and moderation of the quality of delivery.
- Maintain effective administration records that meet funding bodies/awarding bodies requirements.
- Meet individual KPIs
- Progress of learners, timely completions, learner retention and compliance.
- Include teaching and learning of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in line with the qualification they are completing and B-Skill policy and procedures relating to Equality and Diversity.
- Include teaching and learning of Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values in line with the qualification they are completing and B-Skill policy and procedures relating to Safeguarding of learners.
- Ensure the wellbeing and safety of the learner throughout their period of learning.
- Attend team, standardisation and 1:1 meetings.
- Be available for OTL, IQA, EQA and Ofsted visits as required.
- Complete CPD records appropriately and timely.
- Ensure Head of Operations is notified of any learners at risk or any issues immediately and withdrawals are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

- Carry out all duties and work in accordance with the B-Skill quality improvement procedures.
- Play an active part in the promotion and awareness of Safeguarding of learners across the business and externally as appropriate, and to help prevent acts of radicalisation and extremism.
- Play an active part in promotion and awareness of Equality & Diversity across the business and externally as appropriate.
- The postholder will be required to undertake any such duty as commensurate with the status of this post.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills Required
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience working in a teaching and learning environment supported by a teaching and assessors qualification.
- Proven occupational experience in Nails/Beauty
- Knowledge and experience of teaching strategies.
- Knowledge and understanding of Ofsted EIF requirements.
Skills/Competencies
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise demanding workloads and pay attention to detail
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Ability to focus on major priorities & able to work on own initiative
- Be selfmotivated, enthusiastic and a team player
- Flexible and positive approach
- Previous experience of working with E-Portfolio
- You will have an awareness of Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young persons and vulnerable adults
