    As a result of our school growing and increasing our intake, an opportunity has arisen at Queensbury School to join a well-established, friendly and committed team.

    Are you a dedicated and highly motivated Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA) or an Unqualified Teacher (UQT) with a passion for special needs intervention?

    Key Responsibilities:


    • collaborate seamlessly with Teachers to deliver targeted special needs intervention


    • lead interventions


    • lead small group sessions addressing specific learning needs within a supportive environment


    • provide personalised one-to-one support to pupils with special educational requirements


    • step in confidently to cover classes in the absence of the Teacher, adapting to diverse learning needs


    • foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages and enhances the learning experiences of all students

    Requirements:


    • hold a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or have experience as an Unqualified Teacher


    • demonstrate prior experience working with special needs in Primary School settings


    • possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in adapting to diverse learning needs


    • display a positive and proactive attitude towards special needs intervention


    • showcase the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team


    • exhibit a genuine passion for education and helping children with special needs reach their potential
