Early Help and Assessment Team Social Worker Monmouthshire
Qualified Social Worker - Early Help and Assessment Team
A Qualified Social Worker is required to join the Early Help and Assessment Team for Monmouthshire Social Services. This is an initial 3-6 month contract with potential to extend beyond this time period. A car driver is essential for this role as you will be expected to travel throughout the County. Hybrid working is offered for this role, and in general it would be ideal if you could work on site 2-3 days per week. Pay rate is in line with the ADSS All Wales Pledge of £30.50 PAYE and up to £39 Umbrella.
Duties and responsibilities of this role:
To manage a caseload of complex and diverse cases, involving assessments, reviews, preparation of reports
To complete quality assessments of individuals and families
To formulate plans to meet assessed needs and risks building on strengths of children, families and carers
To implement agreed plans to safeguard children and to increase the capacity and resilience of their parents and/or carers
Participate in office duty and respond to crises, as and when required
Requirements for this role:
Social Work registration
Social Care Wales registration / Social Work England
Enhanced DBS (ideally on the update service)
3 years of references
Car driver with valid business insurance
Local Agency
18 years' experience of the Social Work market
Largest supplier of Qualified Social Workers across South Wales
Dedicated point of contact (support team to cover whilst on leave)
Twice weekly payroll: PAYE and Umbrella payroll options available – you choose
Free on-site quarterly training sessions (CPD)
