    Description

    Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an 11-18, Mixed Secondary School in Redbridge to support them with their recruitment for an English Teacher for September 2024.


    They have been ranked 'good' by Ofsted in 2023, and outstanding on 5 consecutive occasions, displaying a reputation for excellence in all aspects of the school's service to the children in our school and the wider community.

    Their committed headteacher is devoted to fostering excellence and providing top-notch support for students, staff, and parents within their school community.

    The school has a supportive English department led by a dedicated head of department. The department offers an ambitious, exciting, and diverse curriculum that provides both students and teachers with enriching learning experiences.

    With well-resourced facilities, including access to multimodal texts, their department consistently delivers exceptional results up to A-Level Our client has asked to recruit a passionate and dynamic teacher, who is enthused about the opportunity to make difference to children's language and literature.

    For this September position, the school will consider part-time applications.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Teach English across Key Stages 3-5
    Support meetings within the department
    AQA Exam Board
    Full-Time / 0.6 / 0.4 timetable considered
    Fixed term contract - 1 academic year
    Working in a larger, well-resourced English Department
    1,500 capacity

    Immerse yourself within the school community
    Fulfill form tutor responsibilities
    Promote a love of learning
    Create a safe and stimulating environment for students to thrive


    Requirements:
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
    10-year employment check
