    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for 2 apprentices to join Bristol City Council's Procurement & Contract Management service. The Council is a diverse and ambitious organisation with an annual budget of over £1 billion – delivering everything from care for vulnerable people to important city building projects. We are looking for motivated candidates who aspire to have a career in Procurement or Contract Management.

    What will I be doing?

    The Council buys a wide range of goods, services and building works to help us deliver services to the people of Bristol. The role of the Council's Procurement & Contract Management Service is to ensure we get good value for money and high-quality service from our suppliers when we place and manage contracts.

    There are two different opportunities for apprenticeships within the Procurement & Contract Management service. One will be based in the Tendering Team and one in the Governance Team, the roles will be broadly similar and there will be crossover (including in the Contract Management Team) to gain the experience you need to achieve the .     What do I need to have?

    We are looking for someone who is helpful, self-motivated and willing to learn. You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide complex information accurately. We are looking for people with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, or equivalent, and have a willingness to learn new applications with support. You also need to be able to demonstrate knowledge or experience of equalities and diversity issues.
