    Job summary

    30 hours per week (negotiable)

    To support the PCN administrative team in general administrative duties and ongoing projects for the PCN.

    To support the PCN team in generaladministrative duties, including some financial administration and supportingnew and ongoing projects for the PCN to a high standard.

    Main duties of the job

    To be responsible for the efficient support of PCN administrative team, ensuring all administrative duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the PCN.

    Job responsibilities

    Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the Project Support Co-Ordinator. Theremay be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will bedependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.

    TheProject Support Co-Ordinator is responsible for:

    a.Supportingthe Care Co-ordinators and PCN team in the day-to-day operations of the PCN.

    b.Supportingthe Care Co-ordinators and PCN in the implementation, monitoring anddevelopment of PCN projects.

    c.Toact as first point of contact for queries as they come, looking out for trendsacross the practices.

    d.Tosupport the team rota ensuring each practice gets its fair share of allocatedtime.

    e.Initiatecontact with and respond to requests from patients, practices, team members andexternal agencies.

    f.Tomanage timely comms between the team members and the 5 PCN Practices

    g.Tokeep abreast of what is going on locally/nationally ( PCQS, DES, QOF).

    h.Respondingand resolving local IT issues where appropriate

    i.Ensuringthe clinical session structure is effective, meets the needs of the patientsand clinicians have access to suitable rooms.

    j.Maintaina clean, tidy, effective working area at all times.

    k.Organisingof equipment, such as laptops if required

    l.Settingup of new IT accounts

    m.Assistingin coordinating the provision of temporary administrative and reception staff,ensuring sufficient cover is provided for periods of leave and other staff absences.

    n.Assistin updating the appointment system to reflect leave and other approved absences.

    o.Deputisefor the Care Coordinators during periods of absence.

    p.Partakein audit as directed by the management.

    q.Coordinateand produce meeting agendas and record the minutes of meetings.

    r.Supportthe PCN team in the maintenance of the PCN website/social media accounts/newsletters.

    s.Manageday to day service function as instructed by the Care Co-ordinators orOperational Management team.

    t.Undertakeall mandatory training and induction programmes.

    u.Attenda formal appraisal with their manager at least every 12 months.

  • Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills

  • NHS / Primary Care General Practice experience
