An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary / Pathway Coordinator in the Dermatology Department at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a team player with a passion and drive for helping others. If you have the necessary skills to provide a high standard of administrative support to the busy Dermatology Department, enjoy working as part of a team and have a flexible and professional approach to work, we would like to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, and other service users and will proactively deal with enquiries from patients and colleagues in a professional manner. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of administrative support to consultants and the wider team. A large part of the role will be to provide support to the Cancer MDT Team.
The post holder will be expected to possess both excellent time management and planning skills, acting independently ensuring that daily tasks and ongoing workloads are prioritised. They will have the ability to work under pressure and exercise judgement when dealing with tasks.
The post holder will ensure confidential and sensitive information in relating to patients is kept secure, and follows the policies and procedures for the department and the Trust.
It is expected that you will proactively assist in maintaining high standards and professional practice.
