West London NHS Trust is seeking individuals to join the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Service for Hounslow, Ealing, and Hammersmith & Fulham CAMHS.
The team will undergo intensive DBT training together in November 2024, provided by British Isles DBT.
The service aims to offer assessment, treatment, training, and consultation for young individuals aged 12 to 18 dealing with persistent self-harm and suicidal behavior, potentially linked to an emerging Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
The role involves providing specialized DBT to young service users, conducting assessments, interventions, and contributing to various aspects of service evaluation and research.
The ideal candidate should hold a doctoral level qualification in clinical psychology, be eligible to work as a Practitioner Psychologist, and have experience in psychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents.
Additionally, the candidate should possess skills in communication, consultation, and be committed to supporting children and their families.
