    Purpose of the Role

    As the Retail Media Director, your expertise in the product will be vital in overseeing the execution of our eCommerce and Retail Media services for our extensive range of clients under dentsu's various brands.
    You will report to the Managing Partner, Affiliates and Retail Media, and you must possess a deep understanding of the ecommerce landscape, particularly emphasizing paid activities, while also comprehending organic strategies and their benefits to our clients.
    Key Responsibilities

    • Developing strategies to maximize client success through Amazon and Retail Media initiatives.
    • Collaborating with partners and internal experts to establish best practices, enhance processes, and ensure their consistent implementation.
    • Regularly auditing internal accounts to pinpoint areas for enhancement in individual performance, client accounts, and the department as a whole.
    • Establishing and maintaining a clear team structure with defined reporting lines and accountabilities.
    • Building a team to bolster the product's expansion within the organization.
    • Owning the training programs on Amazon and Retail Media, striving for a top-notch approach to upskilling other staff members.
    • Providing constructive feedback on errors to address weaknesses at individual, team, and department levels, with the goal of achieving zero revenue loss due to errors.
    • Producing case studies jointly with client-facing brand teams to instill confidence in our product, support new business pitches, and secure accolades.
    • Cultivating beneficial supplier relationships to optimize outcomes, gain crucial support, and access new opportunities.
    • Contributing to client engagements, new business proposals, and pitches where eCommerce and Retail Media are focal points.
    You will also play a pivotal role in driving significant people-centric initiatives, such as:

    • Establishing relationships, motivating, and influencing team members engaged in Retail Media and eCommerce campaigns within dentsu.
    • Forming a team of specialists dedicated to the Retail Media domain.
    • Crafting a training scheme for Amazon and Retail Media operations, catering to both activation and planning teams.
    Qualifications + Skills

    • Proven experience devising training programs to enhance skills within channel teams.
    • Ability to evaluate and assess existing capabilities, tools, teams, structures, and approaches across the UK, and crafting a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the channel, supported by a superior delivery mechanism.
    • Close collaboration with the Managing Partner, Affiliates and Retail Media to grasp current needs, identify challenges, and explore avenues for enhanced services and further channel growth.
    • Interaction with other leaders in Performance Marketing CoE and related areas to outline and agree on streamlined processes encompassing Retail Media and eCommerce, integrating all necessary elements to ensure success within this channel through a unified operational model.
    Exceptional stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
