About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Research Administrator to join the Department of Political Science administrative team to support the delivery of grants currently valued at £11m and the submission of new proposals averaging over 50 per year.


Working under the supervision of the Research Manager, and in conjunction with the departmental finance and research team, the post holder will provide administrative support managing the research proposal process, contracts, financial monitoring procedures, reporting and other grant project related tasks.


The post-holder will support the Research Manager with pre-and-post-award processes across a range of research grants, including those funded by research councils and the EU, and internal UCL research grants.

This post is available immediately and is an open-ended appointment.


About you:

A knowledge of the research landscape and of preparing research proposals, in addition to managing budgets is essential.

The post holder must be efficient, organised and take great care of their attention to detail.

In addition, the role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL, thus a professional attitude, willingness to help and a positive outlook are required.
