Although you'll be a homebased colleague, you might sometimes need to be physically present at another location or be expected to travel to a Thirteen hub for collaborative work. _

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Thirteen family. You will be part of a small team working 37 hours on a fixed term basis ending December 2023.


Although this role is predominantly working from home you will be expected/required to work in one of our offices in and around Teesside for team meetings and collaborative working.


You will be part of a proactive team, responsible for the day-to-day delivery of an efficient, high quality, customer focused payroll service.


As a Senior Payroll Administrator, you will work within a high volume and pressured environment processing, checking and maintaining the accurate and timely payment of salaries to colleagues and other deductions to external agencies.


You will also be responsible for supporting and developing the implementation of streamlined processes and maximising the use of self-service tools to increase the ability to resolve issues raised at the first contact.


The Person:


You must be able to work as part of a small team, supporting each other to achieve the objectives set out in the job description and in line with internal service plans whilst also demonstrating a Team Thirteen approach to customer service delivery and considering the bigger picture and in regard to wider impacts.


You should have basic qualifications in Maths and English and have experience in the effective use of payroll, HR or similar systems as well as other IT and media as appropriate.

You will have the ability to perform payroll administration duties including the calculation of net pay and deductions.


You'll be able to deliver a high-quality payroll administration service, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, maintaining confidentiality in all business matters.
