Days, Afternoons, Nights

KEY TASKS

  • Managing a small team of operatives
  • Ensuring the safety of staff and equipment
  • Maximisingplant efficiency and quality
  • Checking processed glass for contamination
  • Ensuring the plant operation procedures are adhered to
  • Loading the process using a telehandler
  • Housekeeping / Cleaning
  • Working with site colleagues to ensure prompt repairs
  • Undertake machinery checks
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested within skill set

BRIEF PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Previous experience of Supervisory role would be advantageous
  • FLT driver (FLT licence)
  • Telehandler driver (advantageous)
  • Previous Recycling Plant experience (advantageous)
  • Materials handling equipment knowledge
  • Basic faulty finding abilities
  • Experience of assisting engineers
  • Health and Safety awareness / training
  • Numerate and literate
  • Motivated and professional with desire to achieve results with a commercial & customer focus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Self resilient and capable of making difficult decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have basic problem solving ability
  • Promotes and is passionate about the values and standards of the business.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
