About us
St Nicholas CIW Primary School is a small village school with a welcoming Christian ethos and environment. The children enjoy learning, are positive, cheerful and well behaved.

The school is currently beginning a new phase of development with a 21st Century school that is due to be completed in the Autumn of 2023.

About the Role
Hours of Work / Weeks per year /
Working Pattern: 10hrs per week 8.20am to 8.50am and 3pm to 4.30 pm term time only

Description:

The Head Teacher and Governing Body of St Nicholas CIW Primary School wish to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic mini-bus driver to safely transport pupils to and from school at the beginning and end of school day in a professional and caring manner.

You will undertake multiple routes from the school to and from the extended catchment area - currently 1 route (am) and 2 routes (pm).

There are various pick up / drop off points along each route. The driver is accompanied at all times by a bus escort. The school is also seeking a caretaker and there is the opportunity to combine both jobs. If you would like to discuss any aspect of the job before applying, please contact the school.

About you

You will need:

A valid, clean driving licence with at least 5 years driving experience
Fully understand the requirements of the Highway Code with particular reference to minibus driving
Ability to maintain a safe level of behaviour whilst pupils transported
Good communication skills and friendly personality
Reasonable standard of literacy
Practical common sense approach
