    Description

    Join our client's industry-leading team and help shape the future of sustainable building design The Design Division is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the dynamic team in Birmingham.

    They offer a stimulating and rewarding environment where you can contribute to diverse projects across sectors like residential, healthcare, and data centres.

    Design and engineer mechanical building services for new and refurbished projects.
    Assist senior engineers in various design stages from feasibility to detailed plans.
    Collaborate with other team members in design meetings and project execution.
    Conduct surveys, design drawings, and specifications for projects.
    Ensure designs meet legal and safety requirements.
    Utilise building services software and CAD tools.
    Select and specify equipment and materials for cost-effective installations.
    Attend project meetings, workshops, and value engineering sessions.
    Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
    Proven ability to design mechanical systems from concept to detailed stages (BSRIA BG6 Stage 4A).
    Expertise in ventilation, cooling, water systems, heating, drainage, and HVAC control principles.
    Experience with Hevacomp / IES or similar software.
    AutoCAD proficiency for interpreting and generating drawings.
    Understanding of Building Regulations Part L compliance.
    Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
