    Are you an experienced Band 6 Neuro-Occupational Therapist looking for your next challenge? Or already working at a Band 7 level and want to come and work at Salford CSNRT? We have an exciting opportunity to further expand our B7 Neuro OT cohort and join our team allowing you to expand your knowledge, skills and expertise in this immensely rewarding area of work.     We are a strong MDT comprising of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist, Dietitian, Nurses, Psychologists, Therapy Instructors/ Senior Assistants, Social Work, Assistant Practitioners and expert Administrative support.

    We are a Green NCA accredited status team, our standards are high. We are committed to the delivery of high-quality patient centered care at all times - and how we can all improve this.

    Main duties of the job We are looking for a motivated, dedicated and innovative individual to join our specialist service . You will have an extensive and varied background of neurology experience, ideally in Acute and Community, and Stroke and Neuro.

    We are looking for:
    • Experience mainly in Stroke and Neurorehab in community setting but ideally with some Acute exposure
    • Good level of post graduate training in area of speciality
    • Supervision of Band 6 staff and below
    • Provide rich student placements as Clinical Educator
    • Contribute to team development in own profession and wider MDT.
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills
    • Highly effective communication
    • Successful team player
    • Ability to demonstrate drive and initiative
    • Experience of service improvement projects
    • Expected to cover weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis
    • IT skills applicable to the role
    • Ability to cover the geographical footprint in Salford (this does not include public transport)

    • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
    Desirable
    • Masters module / degree in area of speciality
    Professional Registration Essential
    • HCPC Registration
    Knowledge, Training & Experience Essential
    • Significant post registration experience
    • Evidence of wide clinical theoretical knowledge base and specialist knowledge in assessment and treatment of Stroke and Neurology patients
    • Highly developed communication and leadership skills
    • Significant experience of MDT working
    • Ability and evidence to work as part of a team, uni -professionally and multi-professionally
    • Evidence of supervising other staff, registered and non-registered, and students
    • Evidence of contribution to service improvement
    • Ability to adapt and be flexible
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Evidence of relevant CPD
    • To demonstrate an awareness and understanding of supporting equality and valuing diversity within their role
    Working in a Community Setting Essential
