    Formulation Scientist

    About therole

    Tangerine Holdings currentlyhave an excellent opportunity for a Formulation Scientist to joinour expanding Research and Development team.

    Youwill be responsible for helping the R&D team to create anddevelop new and existing products within the animal health sectorto strengthen our product portfolio.

    This is aunique opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects within anenvironment where creativity and innovation is highly valued. Thepostholder is expected to spend a minimum of two days per week inthe lab.

    Mainduties

    • Laboratorydevelopment of formulations.
    • Supporting ourbuying team on identifying suppliers for raw materials andassessing suitability within ourformulations.
    • Helping to maintain theR&D laboratory including performing calibrations and labconsumable inventory.
    • Perform research toinvestigate new NPDopportunities.
    • Remainuptodate with innovations and trends within the veterinarynutraceutical and adjacent industries through the attendance oftrade shows including opportunities for international travel. Usingthe knowledge gained to provide feedback to help drive productimprovements and innovation.
    • Buildingrelationships with raw material and packaging suppliers to supportNPD and EPDactivities.
    • Working withthe R&D team to identify and organise required trial workto support product launch.
    • Creation oftechnical documentation (specifications batch manufacturing recordsetc.) in accordance with current procedures andsystems.
    • Participation in productionscaletrials to ensure smooth transition of projects from R&D tocommercial scale.
    • Offering technical supportwithin our manufacturing facility to drive efficiency and productquality.
    • Working with both R&D andcrossfunctional teams to drive projects from concept tolaunch

    AboutYou

    • BSc in ChemistryCosmetic Science Pharmacology or related discipline is essentialwith 1 year industry experience or alternatively an MSc in arelevantdiscipline.
    • Strongcommunication and interpersonalskills.
    • Passion forcontinuous learning and a growthmindset
