    Do you have a passion for Elderly Care?


    We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and well-motivated registered nurse with a strong commitment to nursing patients on our Grundisburgh Ward in Care of the Elderly.

    5 Hours Per Week - Fixed Term/Secondment Until September 2024

    5 Hours Per Week - Fixed Term/Secondment Until January 2025

    You will be a key member of the ward nursing team to ensure high quality care is delivered.

    You will be required to work across the Trust to help facilitate patient flow and achieve the standards set within the National Clinical guidelines.

    The desire to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in relation to care of the elderly with complex conditions such asdementia and Parkinson's disease
    Proactive attitude in supporting the ward sister in maintaining the highest standard of care .

    You must be patient focused, flexible, adaptable and capable of thinking laterally.
    Ensure that safe, effective and holistic patient care is delivered.

    Be responsible for assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individualised programmes of care in partnership with patient, carers and consultants.

    Coordinate the ward and to help facilitate safe discharge .
    Undertake evidence based care for a variety of indwelling central venous catheters.
    Maintain accurate, timely patient records and relevant data collection.
    Participate in patient/carer education e.g. advice about patient's condition/needs, health promotion in particular in relation to endocrine conditions.

    oPrevious experience at Band 6
    oPost registration qualification relevant to area up to post graduate diploma level
    oILS certificate as relevant to the area

    oProvides evidence of ability to make changes in nursing practice
