£55,000 - £65,000, Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm, Holiday, Parking, Pension


The Role


Our client, an award-winning manufacturing business, are looking for an experienced and commercially aware Financial Controller to join their business.

Managing a small accounts team and sitting as part of the Leadership Team, this brand new role will takethe overarching responsibility for the financial reporting, Statutory Accounts, Board Reporting, Balance Sheet control and cash forecasting for Company.

This role will provide strategic financial guidance/support to ensure the growth and profitability of thebusiness.

  • Managing the daytoday financial operations whilst mentoring and managing the finance team
  • Identifying, creating and improving company controls, policies, procedure and systems whilst identifying opportunity for cost reductions and improved efficiency across the business
  • Monitoring & balancing cash flow
  • Creating annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Review & update pricing strategy & ensure pricing matrices are established for each product line
  • Provide financial reporting & analysis to guide decisionmaking
  • Identify opportunities/risks through financial reports and recommend further courses of action
  • Review / write tender submission documents
  • Review commercial/legal documents & advise of potential conflicts of interest

Requirements:


The successful Financial Controller will be a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with good exposure and senior management level.

Ideally you will have a background in the manufacturing industry. You will have excellent IT skills and systemsknowledge.

You will have fantastic communication skills with an ability to look at tasks with commercial awareness and influence and guide improvements.
