- Excellent communication skills both verbal and IT
- Proficient in a variety of clinical skills including Aseptic Non Touch Technique, sterile procedures, Intravenous (IV) administration, competent with a variety of IV devices, passing and feeding via nasogastric tubes, also ideally experienced in injections, wound care, oxygen therapy/non-invasive ventilatory support
- Must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to mobile work
- Have a sound skill and knowledge base of paediatric conditions and treatments
- The ability to lone work safely in the community and be respectful of home environments and cultural beliefs
- The ability to work both autonomously and as a member of the CCN and wider MDT teams
- Be the CYP advocate and follow correct safeguarding processes
- Excellent organisational, prioritising and problem-solving skills
- The ability to support and teach staff, families and other professionals
- The ability to work flexibly and manage change in a positive and effective way
- Ideally have experience supporting CYP with mental health issues/disordered eating.

Community Children Nurse - 1 x 0.66 wte 6 Months Fixed Term.
A rare and exciting permanent Band 6 Community Children's Nursing team (CCN) position has become available. We welcome motivated, friendly, experienced and skilled staff to come and work in this busy, progressive, supportive and ever evolving CCN team.
The CCN team office is based on the Bristol site of the University Hospital Bristol and Weston Trust but are predominantly community working completing a wide variety of clinical tasks for Children and Young People (CYP) aged 0-18yrs, in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset (BNSSG) areas.
The team's working hours are currently between 8am-6pm 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The applicant must have full UK driving licence and car available for use daily. The CCN team enable swift discharge, admission avoidance, ambulatory care and support of the CYP of the BNSSG area. We also ensure efficient patient flow from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) and surrounding children's inpatient facilities working closely with BRHC emergency department and inpatient wards/teams. This role will support the CCN team with all aspects of their care delivery but also with the extension of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Naso-gastric (CAMHS NG) pathway.
