Job summary
We are looking for a Part Time Band 7 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our therapy team.
We have a permanent post, for part time working at 16 hours ( per week. The successful candidate will be expected to work on the therapy seven day working rota, of a 1:6 frequency with compensatory rest days in the following week, as well as being part of the on call service.
The successful candidate will need to have experience of working with Paediatric patients at Band 6 level and would be involved in working with the multi-disciplinary team in providing physiotherapy to inpatients as well as outpatient clinics.
We can offer you training opportunities to develop your specialist skills in line with your PDR. We have senior leadership training opportunities on a regular basis as well courses funded externally.
Main duties of the job
The caseload is varied. The Trust have a large Cystic Fibrosis population who are seen regularly as part of planned admissions and in regular outpatient clinics.
The paediatric team also cover complex respiratory patients, surgical patients, orthopaedics, general medical, neurology as well as cover for the SCBU unit and Bayley clinics. The team have good links with our local Community Therapy service, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Brompton specifically regarding the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) caseload. There are regular joint/ shared care clinics with the Brompton CF Team.

Job descriptionJob responsibilities
The successful candidate will need to be confident in managing respiratory patients with complex long term needs as well as those with Cystic Fibrosis. The candidate should also ideally be Bayley Infant Neuro development Assessment trained (training can be supported).
Applicants will need to be confident in their ability to support a small team of Physiotherapy staff and willing to work collaboratively in relation to service provision and cover to the wider therapy team. The post holder would also have a significant role in the service training programme to support and underpin the competence of staff in relation to developing competence in managing children and their respiratory needs.
