Overview:
Bruton Knowles is currently recruiting a
Property Assistant to join the successful Team of Chartered Surveyors based in our
Plymouth office.
The Plymouth team carries out instructions from a wide range of private and public sector clients. The day to day workload includes, property management, lease consultancy, agency valuation and business rates work.
The job will require someone who has a keen interest in all property matters with good administrative skills.
No two days will be the same and you will play an influential part in the management of properties and liaising with clients.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with tenants, suppliers and the Commercial Team.
- Writing and distributing general letters to tenants and contractors
- Getting involved in projects across the business, whether that be marketing, lettings or property management
- Answering general queries in the absence of the surveyor and dealing with reactionary maintenance issues and providing solutions where required.
- Research and prepare reports for a variety of clients and internal support, including valuations, lease reports, tenancy schedules, rent arrears, agency marketing, business rates.
- Preparation of Electronic Plans and reports for a variety of clients and update and maintain electronic databases.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a confidence to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing.
- Able to work in an organised and methodical manner, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- A proactive approach to work in a fastpaced environment, with a strong team working ethos.
- Good working knowledge of IT, with a preference towards a background of preparing electronic plans.
- Full Driving Licence
